In 1977 Mr. Gundlach started his career in Ohio as a telecom apprentice in the telecommunications
industry. He worked for several firms including Executone and Business Telephone Systems, organized
during the time of deregulation and the boom of the “interconnect” alternative telephone system
service.
Moving to Pennsylvania in 1983 he was employed by Northern Telecom (Nortel) and later Westinghouse
(AmeriSystems). He also participated in the success of a startup cabling company, American Cabling,
Inc., many years later becoming known as Blackbox.
In 1991 Mr. Gundlach went to work for a large independent local exchange carrier, North Pittsburgh
Telephone / Penn Telecom, and learned the “telephone company” business from a regulated and
deregulated perspective. From 1995 through 2005 Mr. Gundlach was employed by a nationally known
local exchange carrier, Sprint.
From 1998 through 2005, Mr. Gundlach became engaged in the design, engineering and marketing of
Sprint’s public safety and 911 solutions vertical market throughout the Pennsylvania and New Jersey
client operating area. Through his involvement in the public safety sector, Mr. Gundlach’s interest grew
as there was a strong need for support and innovation, while contributing to an important cause,
improved public safety!
From 2005 through 2012 Mr. Gundlach was employed in the public safety consulting field working for
firms including LR Kimball, BAE Systems (formerly Advanced Concepts, Inc.) and Essential Management
Solutions.
Today, as an advisor, consultant, project specialist and business development specialist, Mr. Gundlach
offers his experience as a way to assist clients in meeting their objectives and goals. To do so he has
formed the TGundlach Resource Agency, LLC (TGRA). The Florida based firm is structured as a
“resource” agency designed to support state, county and municipal government agencies. TGRA became
a certified Florida business in January of 2013 and is designed to ultimately offer the “Next Generation”
of public safety and 9-1-1 client support services.
